Nous sommes seulement à 10 minutes de d’océan et nous pouvons profiter de la campagne entre rizières et cocotiers.

It's just 10’ away from the beach, a great mix of jungle / greenery and then beach if you want it. The attention to detail in the rooms, the house in general and the gardens is fantastic. Always so sad to leave, but we will be back!

Its stunning and exactly how I wanted to start this tour of Sri Lanka. The only downside is that I can't imagine that the other places we have booked will be half as good so we should have booked it again for our last few days on the island.
Manchula, the cook, and her team were fantastic. Amazing food and always there if we needed any help, they made us feel super comfortable and at home.
we were sad to leave but definitely plan on coming back one day.

From booking the Ceciles team were helpful providing travel instructions and booking, menus and local activities. The arrival was smooth and the actual property is attractive, considered and in immaculate running order. the outdoor areas, including an infinity pool overlooking Paddy fields with wild peacocks, were a highlight.

The cleaner, cook and security guard were very considerate going the extra mile to support the 2 families staying who has a 6 month old, 2 year old and 4 year old between us. Manjula deserves a special mention as she was truly fantastic and even looked after our children so we could enjoy our meals.

The perfect setting for a relaxing or adventurous holiday with plenty to do nearby! Nothing whatsoever to complain about!

When we arrived we were greeted by staff and two very friendly dogs and walked into the most wonderful setting. We didn't get to fully appreciate this till the following morning when we woke up to see we were in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden surrounded by rice paddies. The rooms and bathrooms were amazing, the pool large and clean and so inviting, and the living areas comfortable. The staff were incredible. We were catered for with most meals as the food was so good we decided to eat at the house. It was so easy to arrange trips and transport through the staff and through texts. I can't recommend this place enough. our 6 nights were magical and one's we will never forget.

The Colonial style of the villa sits seamlessly into the surroundings and the decor is very well done. Housekeeper Manjula is a darling. She is also a talented chef who makes delicious and interesting Sri Lankan food - so much so that we hardly ever had meals out. Her team Lakshman and Acini are so hospitable and friendly. We visited lots of nearby beaches, the tea estate, a rock temple at full moon and Galle - using tuk tuks recommended by Cecile and the team. The driver Chamara, like everyone else felt like family after a few days. I’ve been to Sri Lanka a few times but this stay at Kumbura was extra special. We will be back!
